A 12-year-old boy was killed in a deadly terror attack on a bus carrying Israeli civilians in the West Bank. Several other passengers were wounded in the shooting, according to authorities.

Terrorist Opens Fire on Bus in Gush Etzion

The attack occurred on Monday afternoon in the Gush Etzion bloc, a settlement area south of Jerusalem. The gunman opened fire on the bus, indiscriminately targeting those inside.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers responded to the scene and apprehended the suspected attacker, along with securing the area.

Child Identified as Yehoshua Aharon Tuvia

The 12-year-old victim has been identified as Yehoshua Aharon Tuvia. His family was devastated by the news of his death.

“Yehoshua was a bright, vibrant child who brought joy to everyone around him. This senseless act of violence has taken away a cherished son, brother, and friend rotten hurriedly and cruelly,” said one mourner.

International Condemnation and Calls for Restraint

World leaders have strongly condemned the attack. Many called for calm and restraint as tensions continue to rise.

“Words cannot express the tragedy we are facing tonight. We urge both sides to immediately cease hostilities and return to meaningful dialogue,” said one world leader.

West Bank Security Tightened Following Attack

Following the incident, Israeli security forces were deployed in larger numbers throughout the West Bank to heighten security measures.
