Yesterday, the French Sport Foundation presented “Support your sportsman”, a platform aimed at helping aspiring French athletes find funding.
In addition to the “Performance Pact” system, this new crowdfunding platform (one more) open to companies and individuals will make it possible to offer several profiles of athletes to be financially supported. A platform powered by the company’s technology iRaiser.
“We have set up a system allowing athletes to prospect and collect donations on a secure platform, where projects are verified, and which offers donors the advantages of patronage” explains the French Sport Foundation. As a reminder, the overall budget of the French Sport Foundation is 15 million euros.
The launch of the system took place at the CNOSF, in the presence of Gil Avérous, Minister of Sports, Youth and Community Life or even Charlotte Feraille, General Delegate of the French Sport Foundation.

“The Support your athlete system is aimed at athletes registered on the ministerial lists (beneficiaries of the Performance Pact and athletes in the ANS high performance circle are excluded). Contributions can be made by credit card, with a maximum amount of €3,000 per transaction, while larger donations, of up to €10,000, can be made outside the platform. Each prize pool can reach a total amount of €20,000, divided into two collections of €10,000 maximum. An important criterion: It is not authorized to make donations within the same tax household.”

For those looking to contribute more, donations can extend up to €10,000 outside the online platform. Each athlete can run a fundraising campaign aiming for a total of up to €20,000, divided into two phases of €10,000. It’s also important to note that to maintain integrity, donations from the same tax household are not permitted.
