TV Host Stephen Mulhern Rushed to Hospital After Collapsing
Stephen Mulhern, the popular British television presenter known for hosting shows like Deal or No Deal, has been hospitalized after collapsing at a pizzeria.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 27, at a Pizza Express in Sunningdale, England, where the 47-year-old was dining alone. According to a representative for Mulhern, the presenter had been experiencing a difficult few weeks following the recent passing of his father.
"Stephen has had an incredibly tough time over the past few weeks," his representative stated, adding that the loss "has hit him hard and has been understandably very stressful."
In addition to the grief, Mulhern had undergone a procedure on the same day as the incident and was advised to take it easy. "Following the anaesthetic that was administered, he had a few drinks which made him unwell," his representative explained. "He was taken to the hospital as a precaution. He is now back home recovering."
While Mulhern hasn’t personally addressed the incident, sources close to him shared that he felt unwell suddenly while at the restaurant. Concerned staff promptly called emergency services, and paramedics checked him over before transporting him to the hospital as a safety measure.
Mulhern, known for his various television hosting roles, is expected to make a full recovery. His upcoming commitment to co-host Dancing on Ice, a popular British competition show, in January 2025 remains unaffected, according to sources.
