Southampton Science Park has forged a strategic partnership with three distinguished research organizations to catalyze growth in technology and innovation start-ups within the region.
The National Oceanographic Centre, Health Innovation Wessex, and the University of Southampton’s School of Healthcare Enterprise and Innovation are now valuable collaborators in the science park’s prestigious Catalyst business accelerator program.
The Catalyst program, renowned for its impactful role in nurturing start-ups, operates twice a year, with new cohorts scheduled to commence in March and September. It is currently accepting expressions of interest for its upcoming March 2025 session.
Catalyst has played a pivotal role in nurturing nearly 100 companies to date, leading to the creation of approximately 260 jobs and attracting over £66 million in investment to the local economy.
The newly formed partnership is poised to enhance the region’s growing reputation in health and marine technologies, leveraging the strengths and resources of each partner organization.

Southampton Science Park receives funding from the UK Government via Test Valley Borough Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, enabling it to bolster its initiatives.
