Coach Jenkins: Thank you! It really came down to team chemistry and a commitment to our game plan. Head Coach Foster emphasized a “total team effort,” and that’s exactly what we saw. The girls supported each other, both on and off the court, and that positive energy was crucial in securing those wins.

Coach Jenkins: absolutely. Winning the doubles point provides a important psychological advantage. It relieves some of the pressure going into singles and allows us to dictate the pace. The partnerships of Xin Tong Wang and Giorgia Roselli, and Anne Knuettel and Tatyana Nikolenko, have been working incredibly hard on their synergy, and it’s definitely paying off.

Singles Strategy and Standout Performances

Archyde News: The article mentions some tightly contested singles matches. What adjustments were made to ensure those crucial victories, and were there any standout individual performances that you want to highlight?

Coach Jenkins: We focus on playing smart, aggressive tennis and staying mentally tough. Kristina Kudryavtseva’s win was notably encouraging; she’s been putting in extra work, and it showed.Tatyana Nikolenko’s ability to close out her match in a tiebreaker demonstrates her composure under pressure, and chantava’s resilience in the third set to clinch the match was exactly what we needed.

Looking Ahead to south Florida

Archyde News: The Shockers are now heading to Tampa to face South Florida. What are your expectations for that match, and what areas will the team be focusing on in readiness?
