Archyde: Kjuumanis, thanks for joining us.”Ticket to One End” has been years in the making. Can you tell us about the journey from the initial idea to the final product?
Kjuumanis: Absolutely! It started with Kaiser’s line in “salaspils avenue” way back in 2004. That line, “this ticket is to one end – Salaspils prospekts,” really resonated with us. The thematic seed was planted then, but the actual process of bringing all 24 tracks to life took about three years. We spent a lot of time in our studio, “Prospectiy HQ,” experimenting and honing our sound. The creative camp last summer was crucial in solidifying those efforts, helping us produce eight tracks that made the final cut. It was a long road, but the destination was worth it.

Kjuumanis: The album really embodies the spirit of our streets – the romanticization of everyday life here, and expressing our attitude against authority and the competition.Essentially, we’re about enjoying life, which is why we tried to steer clear of overly serious topics when crafting this album. We wanted to create something that reflects our reality – the celebrations,the struggles,all within our context.

Kjuumanis: The diverse range of producers, like Xantica, Prxmvc, Merkurius, and others, brought so many different perspectives and textures to the album.And the guest appearances from Steps, Hotte, and DJ PM2am really added unique flavors. DJ PM2am’s scratches on “Vodka on the pohas,” such as, really elevated the track. These collaborations allowed us to push our boundaries and experiment with different sounds, resulting in a more dynamic and engaging listening experience.

Archyde: You’ve mentioned that Prospekts is more than just a musical group. Can you elaborate on your collective’s involvement in other creative areas?
Kjuumanis: definitely. Prospekts is a movement. We started as a group of childhood friends, and we’re repping together. We’re involved in the boxing industry, clothing design, visual entertainment – we see ourselves as a platform for different creative expressions. Music is our foundation, sure, but we’re also building something bigger that resonates with our community.

Kjuumanis: We plan to keep the momentum going!
