Despite being hospitalized for a respiratory infection at Rome’s Gemelli Polyclinic, Pope Francis hasn’t let go of his unwavering support for Gaza. Each evening at 8 pm, he calls Father Gabriel Romanelli, the parish priest of the parish of the Holy Family in Gaza.
“He asked how we were and thanked for the prayers, and he gave us his blessing,” Romanelli shared with Adnkronos. “He was tired, but he had a clear voice.” Even his hospitalization hasn’t interrupted his nightly ritual of calling and offering his heartfelt support.

The Vatican released a statement today revealing that Pope Francis is in “stationary conditions” and “without fever.” The recent investigations have confirmed a polymicrobial infection of the respiratory tract, leading to adjustments in his treatment.
“All the investigations carried out to date are indicative of a complex clinical picture that will require adequate hospital hospitalization,” the Vatican stated.
