In a move to bolster its metaverse ambitions, Meta announced a $50 million
Creator Fund for Horizon Worlds on feb. 24, 2025. This investment aims
to incentivize creators to develop engaging content for Meta’s social
gaming platform. However, the announcement comes at a time when many
developers of self-contained VR apps for the Quest platform are facing
sustainability challenges.
The Creator fund and Desktop Editor
The $50 million fund is intended to reward creators whose worlds attract

“Each month, we’ll pay out bonuses from the Creator Fund to the makers of
