Maura Farrell (née Farrell), formerly of Poleberry, Waterford City, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, in Sonas Nursing Home, Knock, Co.Mayo, surrounded by her loving family.She resided at ‘El Vista’, Pontoon Road, Castlebar, F23 EY19.

Maura was predeceased by her parents, Annie and Mick Farrell, her brothers Michael and Willie, sister Annette, and daughter-in-law Fiona. Her passing marks the end of an era for her family, who remember her fondly.
She is survived by her devoted husband Michael, sons Michael (Regina), Kieran (Kathleen), Brendan and Damian, brothers Brendan (Waterford) and Edwin (Kathleen) (Waterford), brothers-in-law Martin (Kilkenny) and John (anne) (Kilkenny), grandchildren Michael, Jonathon, Derek, Conor, Katelyn, Killian, Caimin, Róisín, Hayden and Dirren, great- granddaughters Lucille Michael (USA) and Eva Mae (USA), much loved sister Breda (Kevin) USA, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements
Maura reposed at her home ‘El Vista’,Pontoon Road,Castlebar,F23 EY19 on Sunday,April 6,from 5.30pm to 7pm. Removal from her residence took place on Monday at 11.45a.m for Requiem Mass at 1pm in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, followed by interment in Castlebar New Cemetery.
The Requiem Mass was streamed live, allowing those unable to attend in person to participate in the service remotely.
