Lucía Méndez was hospitalized in an emergency, they reported on the morning of November 29. For three days, the actress has been under medical observation following experiencing breathing difficulties.
“I have news already authorized by Lucía Méndez. For three days, Lucía has been hospitalized. She had not made herself known so as not to cause a media stir,” declared Vicky López, the actress’s public relations officer, on the program ‘Everything for Women’.
According to the communicator, the artist was already ready to join the cast of the play ‘Lagunilla mi barrio’ (where she would replace Laura León) when the symptoms of a cold began to appear. However, due to her shortness of breath, Lucía Méndez had to be hospitalized.
“Last weekend he went to Colombia, came back and mightn’t breathe. She thought he had the flu, tired from the trip and the flight. “He arrived at the hospital, was under observation and might not breathe,” he told journalist Maxine Woodside.
“They gave him oxygen and yesterday the studies came out that he has severe influenza, that’s why he hasn’t been able to answer,” he continued.
What is known regarding Lucía Méndez’s health
Vicky López explained that although Lucía Méndez, who is regarding to turn 69, is hospitalized, her health condition is not serious, although she assured that her respiratory tract is very affected.
“He is not serious, he simply cannot answer because right now all of his airways are affected. She has the flu, but it is not serious, she is still under observation and will be hospitalized for two or three more days on the doctor’s recommendation. Right now he is wearing an oxygen mask,” she concluded.
