Museridze, a journalist herself, had a premonition that revealed her mother had long held a secret. After her mother’s death, she was spurred to dig deeper into her own past. "Someone who lived in a rural area contacted me. They said they knew a woman who had hidden a pregnancy. This woman had given birth in Tbilisi in September 1984," Museridze explained. The timeline aligned with her own birthdate, fueling her determination.
She learned her biological mother’s name, leading her on a chase through social media to locate a potential aunt. Through further investigation, she uncovered a DNA test which confirmed their familial connection. With her aunt’s phone number in hand, Museridze bravely confronted a painful truth.
"When my phone call was answered, it wasn’t what I hoped for. Her reaction wasn’t what I expected at all," Museridze confessed, still struggling to process the situation. “She yelled at me and said she hadn’t given birth to me. She didn’t want anything to do with me.”
Failing to find comfort in reconciling with her mother, Museridze, with persistent tenacity, urged for the identity of her father.
"She finally confirmed his name: Gurgen Khorava," she said.
