John Richard McClure Remembered With Love
John Richard McClure, affectionately known to many as Jack, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen. He was 86.
Jack’s life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family. He will be forever remembered by his beloved wife of [Numb] years, Ivy, and his children Heather (Robert), Sandra, Richard (Jill), Linda (Mark) and the late Margaret (Paul).
A beloved grandfather to Andrea, Simon, Richard, Matthew, Adam, Hannah, Rachael, Ross, Graeme, Aaron, and Hollie, Jack also cherished his role as great-grandfather to Sophie. He shared a particularly close bond with his sister, Violet McVitty, and will be deeply missed by his extended family and many dear friends.
Jack was born and raised in Carran West, Garrison, before moving to Derrygonnelly Road in Springfield, Enniskillen. He was a man of deep faith and a longtime member of Devenish Parish Church Monea and Garrison Parish Church.
Remembered for his kind heart, gentle demeanor, and warm smile, Jack exuded a quiet strength and wisdom that touched everyone who knew him. He was a pillar of his community, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear.
Friends and neighbors are welcome to call and offer their condolences to the family at Ballycassidy House Funeral Home, located at 101 Killadeas Road, Enniskillen, BT94 2ES. This opportunity for visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Service honoring Jack’s life will be held at Devenish Parish Church Monea on Monday at 1:00 pm, followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.
Family flowers only, please. In lieu of flowers, donations, if desired, can be made payable to W T Morrison, Funeral Directors, and sent to Ballycassidy House, Funeral Home, 101 Killadeas Road, Enniskillen, BT942ES.
