Apple recently launched the iPhone 16E. However, as usual the cupertino giant does not specifically mention how much RAM capacity is carried on their smartphone. Well, later it was revealed that the iPhone 16E as the most affordable model of the ranks of the iPhone 16 is equipped with 8GB of RAM.
With a price tag of USD 599 or around Rp9.7 million, this means that Apple still provides RAM capacity similar to other iPhone 16 models. To note, the previous generation iPhone SE which is now replaced by iPhone 16E has 4GB of RAM. It seems that Apple has its own reasons for doing this.
So that the iPhone 16e supports Apple Intelligence
Yes, even though it is the cheapest iPhone in the current generation, the iPhone 16e still supports the Apple Intelligence feature. This is a set of AI On-Device features such as Genmoji, Image Playground, Clean Up, et al. What is in iOS 18 and to be able to make it run smoothly requires adequate RAM capacity.

In addition to double RAM, the iPhone 16e itself brought quite a lot of changes from the 3rd iPhone SE which was released in 2022 ago. The design has now changed much more modern with the presence of notch and faceid, the latest A18 chipset, camera improvement, action button button, USB-C port, to satellite connection support.
