Archyde News Editor: Xzavion, thanks for joining us.Your performance against the Astros has been nothing short of spectacular this spring training. You’ve now pitched seven scoreless innings against them. What’s been the key to your success?

Xzavion Curry: Thanks for having me. I’ve been focusing on executing my pitches, working on keeping hitters off balance, adn pounding the strike zone, especially early in counts. the coaching staff has been instrumental in helping me fine-tune my approach, and I feel really good about how things are progressing.

Archyde News Editor: In Saturday’s game, you went four scoreless innings.Can you walk us through your mindset on the mound, especially facing a lineup like the Astros?

Xzavion Curry: When you are facing a lineup like the astros, you always have to be on your game. I try not to focus too much on who’s in the batter’s box, but rather on executing my pitches to the best of my ability.Working ahead in the count and getting early outs were critical, and I was able to do that.

Archyde News Editor: Spring training is a time for experimentation, but you’ve been incredibly consistent. Has your role with the team been discussed?

Xzavion Curry: We have had some conversations without a doubt. The goal is to pitch well and earn my spot. I trust the coaching staff will make the call that is right for the team. Right now, I am focused on continuing my positive pitching performances. I am ready for whatever role they decide on.

Archyde News Editor: the team’s offense showed some real power, but we certainly know that you and a strong pitching staff sets the tone for a Championship team.How does this year’s team compare to last season’s from your vantage point?

Xzavion Curry: I think everyone has elevated their game, especially on the defensive side, we’re a more disciplined and dynamic team. We’re focused on improving every day and doing whatever it takes to put our team in a position to win, and so far, we’re trending in the right direction.

Archyde news Editor: The Astros mounted a late comeback in the ninth inning. As a pitcher, how do you feel seeing that come together and, ultimately, seeing Matt Pushard close it out?

Xzavion Curry: It shows the resilience of the game. The Astros never gave up, and it took some excellent pitching toward the end to finish them off. That’s baseball. Being in our clubhouse, there is a “never give up” attitude. seeing Matt close it out really highlighted how important it is for every single person on the team to be locked. Even when the game is not going our way, everyone has to be focused from start to finish.

Archyde News Editor: Xzavion, you’ve had some incredible performances this spring. What’s your personal goal for the upcoming season?

xzavion Curry: My goal is to stay healthy, to be as effective as possible whenever I get the ball, and to contribute to the team’s success in any way that I can. Ultimately, I want to help us contend for a championship. That’s what it’s all about.
