PBS SoCal’s locally-produced, Emmy Award-winning documentary series, LOST LA, returns for a seventh season, plunging deep into Southern California’s hidden past, unveiling fascinating tales of innovation, secrecy, natural disasters, and the birth of animation.
Premiering Tuesday, January 7th on KETT/PBS SoCal with first look on KCAL, the season premiere unfolds with an exploration of Southern California’s pivotal role in the Space Shuttle program, showcasing how the region became a launchpad for the future.
The series highlights the contributions of local astronauts, engineers, and blue-collar workers who helped forge humanity’s journey into space. The season continues with three more captivating episodes, further blurring the line between fiction and reality, taking viewers on a journey through the Cold War’s secret installations, the devastation and resilience after the St. Francis Dam collapse, and the magic of Southern California’s connection to the birth of modern animation.
