Scrine, Rahara, Co Roscommon (March 13, 2025) – Derry McDermott passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, under the care of the staff at Roscommon Hospice.He joins his beloved wife, Ellen, who recently passed.
A Life of Family and Friendship
Derry is “fondly remembered and sadly missed” by his brother Frank, sister loretta, brother-in-law Pat, sisters-in-law Sheila, Eileen and Martha, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-grandniece, relatives, neighbours, and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary Margaret, his wife Ellen, and brothers Billy, Mick, and Kevin.

Funeral Arrangements
visitation will be held at Hamrock’s Funeral Home, Athleague (F42CC92) on Monday, March 17, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by removal to The Church of Mary Immaculate, Rahara.
