Anya Sharma: Thank you for having me! This year, we’re really focused on pushing the boundaries of electronic music. HARD Summer has always been about showcasing diverse sounds, but 2025 sees us delving deeper into niche genres and bringing together established headliners with incredibly talented emerging artists. We’ve also worked hard to enhance the overall festival experience at Hollywood Park, building upon last year’s move.
The lineup: A tapestry of Sounds
Archyde: The lineup is certainly remarkable, featuring names like Dom Dolla, Feid, and Gesaffelstein. How do you approach curating such a diverse roster of artists?
Anya Sharma: Our goal is to create a sonic journey for our attendees. We want HARD Summer to be a place were you can discover yoru new favourite artist while still enjoying the acts you already love. We actively listen to what our audience is craving, follow emerging trends, and prioritize artists who are not only talented but also passionate about their craft. The blend of house music, techno, hip-hop, and even cumbia – as seen with Feid’s inclusion – reflects the vibrant musical landscape of Los Angeles itself, with amazing performances from Sara Landry, Four Tet and Floating Points.
Emerging Talent and Shaping the Future of Dance Music
Archyde: HARD summer is known for showcasing the “sounds of tomorrow.” Can you tell us more about the emerging talent on this year’s lineup and why they are important to the future of dance music?
Anya Sharma: Absolutely. Artists like Overmono, joy orbison, and Funk Tribu are pushing the boundaries of electronic music in exciting ways. They’re experimenting with new sounds, blending genres, and creating truly innovative music, they are dancefloor killers. By giving them a platform at HARD Summer, we hope to introduce them to a wider audience and help shape the future direction of dance music.These artists offer a glimpse into where the scene is headed.
Hollywood Park: Enhancing the Festival Experience
Archyde: Last year marked the move to Hollywood Park. How has this venue change redefined the HARD Summer experience?
Anya Sharma: Hollywood Park has truly transformed the festival. The sheer size of the venue allows us to create a more spacious and immersive habitat. We can introduce interactive art installations, improved stage designs, and better overall flow for attendees.It’s been designed to enhance the festival environment.Also, the proximity to SoFi Stadium and YouTube Theater adds a unique energy to the entire weekend.
community Engagement: The ‘pre-Game’ Initiative
Archyde: We also noticed HARD Summer’s commitment to community engagement through the ‘Pre-game’ initiative. Can you elaborate on its impact?
anya Sharma: ‘Pre-Game’ is all about supporting local businesses and giving back to the community that supports us. by partnering with businesses around Los Angeles, particularly in Inglewood where the festival is held, we create a symbiotic relationship that benefits everyone. It allows attendees to explore the local area,discover hidden gems,and contribute economically to the community.

Archyde: looking ahead, how do you see HARD Summer evolving in the next five years, and what key trends in electronic music are exciting you the most?
Anya Sharma: that’s a great question! I envision HARD Summer becoming even more immersive and experiential, leveraging technology to create truly unforgettable moments. In terms of trends, I’m incredibly excited about the resurgence of hard dance sounds and the continued cross-pollination of genres. I think we’ll continue to see more collaborations between electronic artists and musicians from other genres, leading to even more unique and exciting sounds.
