Barcelona COACH Hansi Flick stated that he did not want to take the risk of playing Lamine Yamal for the La Liga match against Celta Vigo at the Balaidos Stadium, Sunday (24/11) early morning WIB.
Yamal has an ankle injury and already missed the match against Real Socieded before the November international break.
Flick chose to give Yamal the opportunity to focus on recovering from his injury and is confident that the 17 year old player will recover soon enough to return to defend El Barca.

“He will return as soon as he feels 100% good and fit,” said the former Bayern Munich coach, quoted from Fabrizio Romano’s account, Friday (22/11).
This season, Yamal formed a deadly trio with Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, which led Barcelona to win 14 of 17 matches.
From the 16 matches he played, Yamal collected six goals and eight assists.
His brilliant performance brought the Blaugrana to the lead in the La Liga standings with a six-point advantage over Real Madrid and in sixth place in the Champions League with nine points from four matches. (Ant/Z-1)

What are the main reasons Coach Hansi Flick decided to rest Lamie Yamal from the lineup?
**Interview with Hansi Flick on Resting Lamie Yamal**
**Interviewer**: Good afternoon, Coach Hansi Flick. Thanks for joining us today. I understand you recently announced that you will be resting young star Lamie Yamal. Can you tell us more about this decision?
**Hansi Flick**: Thank you for having me. Yes, we’ve decided to give Lamie a break. He has been performing exceptionally well, but his workload has increased significantly, and I believe it’s vital to manage his minutes effectively. We want to ensure he remains in peak condition without risking burnout.
**Interviewer**: It’s not uncommon for young players to face high expectations early in their careers. How important is it to strike a balance between giving them playing time and allowing them to develop at a healthy pace?
**Hansi Flick**: It’s crucial. Lamie is incredibly talented, and we want to nurture that talent, not squander it. Giving him time to rest and recover helps prevent injuries and keeps him mentally fresh. It’s a long season, and managing our players’ physical and mental load is a top priority for us.
**Interviewer**: What factors do you consider when deciding to rest a player like Yamal? Is it purely physical, or do you also take psychological aspects into account?
**Hansi Flick**: It’s a combination of both. We monitor their physical stats closely, looking at fatigue levels and recovery rates. But we also observe their mental state—how they react to pressure, their confidence levels, and their overall happiness in training. It’s a holistic approach.
**Interviewer**: With the team’s upcoming fixtures, how do you plan to compensate for Yamal’s absence in the lineup? Are there specific players you look to fill that role?
**Hansi Flick**: We have a deep squad, and that’s one of our strengths. Players will step up, and it’s an opportunity for someone else to showcase their abilities. We’re confident that whoever comes in will maintain our performance levels.
**Interviewer**: Lastly, how do you envision Lamie Yamal’s role evolving as the season progresses? What are your hopes for him?
**Hansi Flick**: My hope is for him to become a cornerstone of our team. As he develops, we’ll gradually increase his involvement, ensuring it aligns with his growth. He has a bright future ahead, and I’m excited to see how he continues to evolve as a player.
**Interviewer**: Thank you, Coach Flick, for sharing your insights. We look forward to seeing how the team performs going forward and hope to see Lamie back on the field soon!
**Hansi Flick**: Thank you! I appreciate the opportunity to discuss our plans.
