A forensic report, published the day before yesterday, showed that the death of American actor Angus Cloud, one of the stars of the series “Euphoria,” at the age of 25 last July, was caused by an “accidental overdose” of drugs.
A spokesman for the Alameda County Coroner’s Department, California, said: “Angus Cloud died from a fatal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and benzodiazepine, in what is considered an accidental overdose.” He added: “Angus was suffering from severe poisoning associated with this mixture of drugs.”
The actor played the role of drug dealer Vizco “Fiz” O’Neill alongside actress Zendaya in the series “Euphoria,” one of HBO’s biggest successes, which won a number of Emmy Awards.
When announcing his death, his family said that Cloud had been suffering recently due to the death of his father, and was suffering from psychological problems. She explained that he was speaking openly regarding his battle with his mental illness, adding: “We hope that his death will serve as a warning to others that they are not alone, and should not face the disease alone.”
“Euphoria” is one of the most successful series produced by “HBO,” and deals with the dark lives of American teenagers whose daily lives include drug addiction and violence.
The series allowed Angus to play his first acting role, as one of the directors chose him to participate in the work when he was walking with his friends in the streets of Brooklyn in New York.
