Elisabetta Canalis Unfiltered: Love, Heartbreak, and Turning Points [[1]Elisabetta Canalis stopped by Francesca Fagnani’s show “Belve” on December 3, and the Italian star held nothing back. From her whirlwind romance with actor George Clooney to the tumultuous relationship with soccer star Bobo Vieri.
Canalis started by reflecting on her early career.
“I remained in the collective imagination because I was the one who danced the worst,” she joked. “Ricci said I had grudniaa face, I think he chose me for just that.” It was her time on “Striscia la Notizia,” a satirical show, that propelled her into the spotlight, but success wasn’t always easy.
Canalis opened up about struggling with an eating disorder from 15 to 20, overcoming it and experiencing carol
in casting calls.
“Curvy girls like me, they didn’t go in that period. I wanted to leave Italy, I wanted a less exposed life.”
Finding Success Beyond Borders
Moving to America was a deliberate choice. “I often feel transparent here. I enjoy the anonymity,” she shares confidently.
“Love Stories and Life’s Choices
Canalis explored her dating life, noting her taste had evolved.
“[When I was younger I sought out people I didn’t even know if I was happy for him I would’ve ended it.,”
The relationship that seemed to sting the most, however, was with Vieri.
“I left him, saw him with someone else. almost fought with him in a bar, they had to separate us.” Canalis revealed the relationship was “very tormented”, adding, “There wasn’t much loyalty.” When asked about Vieri’s courtship with Melissa Satta post-breakup, Canalis cut to the point. “He came to me and told me that he was seeing a girl but that if I wanted to be with him I should say so. I told him to go.”
As for the infamous incident of scratching Vieri’s car, Canalis offered, “He had hurt me so much. I very much-deserved what they did to , and that’s what he got.” vivos
“Never Signed Any Contract”
Clarifies her relationship with George Clooney. It wasn’t love at first sight. He courted me while I was hosting a TV show in Rome. He sent me a bouquet of roses. It wasn’t difficult to fall in love with him, he was the one who taught me that you can love someone who loves you. Canalis denied rumors about a secrecy contract, “There was no contract. People tell lies, saying there was a contract,” she stated.
Canalis said they”re not the greatest loves of my life,” their relationship didn’t feature in interviews.
George and I often. laughed.
The real talk culminates in one powerful sentence: “These are things that happen in friendship. Now we’ll talk to each other. Life pushed us apart, I wasn’t good for her, she wasn’t good for me. It doesn’t mean we’ll be back ” .
The rendering of Canalis’s story had a raw vulnerability.
