Baldone Pink Choir’s Homage to Home
Instead of opting for international favorites, the Baldone Pink Choir delivered a powerful performance of “The Mountains” by The Sound Poets, a Latvian song. The performance was enhanced by Julia Brauere, a leading ballet soloist from the Latvian National opera and Ballet. The choir earned 28 points from the jury for their emotionally resonant performance.

“My story is that my mountains to live with is working at the Children’s Clinical University Hospital, working with sick children as Dr. Clown, and Dad’s fight with cancer and going to another sun. Those mountains we each have different.”

Daugavpils Dark Blue Choir Wins Audience Prize, Gives Back

The competition continues with choirs representing Talsi,Tukums,Riga (two choirs),Jelgava,Aizkraukle,Saldus,Smiltene,and Daugavpils. The winning choir will receive a grand prize of €10,000,which,according to the show’s rules,must be donated to a charity of the choir’s choosing.
“The battle for the title of the loudest choir continues in Talsi, Tukums, two Riga, Jelgava, Aizkraukle, Saldus, Smiltene and Daugavpils choirs. At the end of the show, the winning choir will receive the main prize of € 10,000, which will be channeled to the choir’s chosen charity.”
