Chelsea Green: «I fear the day I become a babyface in WWE – Superfights

Chelsea Green Explains Her Love for Being a Heel

WWE superstar Chelsea Green is making waves in the women’s division, and not always for the reasons you might expect. Her ability to elicit strong emotions from the crowd, even if those emotions are visceral boos and jeers, has sparked debate amongst fans and commentators alike. Is she a true “heel,” a villain in the classic wrestling sense?

Green seems to relish the role.

The Thrill of Embracing the Villain

“I’ve always had fun playing a villainous character, in a villainous role, and being the bad guy,” Green explains. “There’s also the other half who obviously prefers to be the hero. They like to be the good one. They like to receive ovations. But for me, there’s just… there’s something so authentic about talking trash, honestly. Being unpleasant and saying those thoughts that you normally don’t let come to the surface. You can play with that as a heel in wrestling. I have a lot of fun doing it. ‘I will fear the day when I have to be the good one,’ “

Setting Her Sights on Gold: The United States Championship

Another tantalizing possibility for Green if she fully embraces this villainous persona is winning the inaugural WWE United States Women’s Championship. She has already advanced to the second round of the tournament, and should she win, it would be a historic moment.

“The fact of being able to be in this tournament for the first United States Women’s Championship is already incredible,” Green shares. “Then, to be able to say that I am the winner, to be a Canadian winning the United States Championship, it would be an honor. There are so many things, of course, the creative side of my brain starts spinning and I think about everything I can do even before I win the championship. ‘It would be amazing to be the inaugural champion and be able to bring it back to Vancouver.’”

How does Chelsea Green find authenticity in portraying her heel persona?

## Chelsea⁤ Green: Embracing the Heel Turn

**Host:** Welcome back, wrestling fans! Today we have the incredible Chelsea Green joining us. **Chelsea Green:** Thanks for having me! [1] It’s funny you say that. I’ve actually ‍found‌ playing a villain to be incredibly ‌liberating. There’s a certain freedom in not having to be liked, ⁢you know? As a‍ heel, you can push boundaries, say the things people are thinking but⁢ are too afraid to say‍ out loud, and really⁤ play up the drama.⁣ It’s a challenge, for sure, but it’s also incredibly ‍rewarding to see the audience so invested in your ‌character.

**Host:** Absolutely! You⁢ definitely have a knack for getting under people’s skin. What’s⁢ your secret? ⁢Is there a particular method you use to tap into that “heel” persona?

**Chelsea Green:** To‍ be honest, it’s‍ all about authenticity. [1] I try to find aspects of myself -⁤ maybe a bit ⁤of ⁢cockiness, a touch of ruthlessness – and‍ amplify them. I also draw inspiration from other great heels throughout history. But ‌at the end of the day, it’s all about ‍connecting with the audience and giving them ⁢a‌ reason to care. Even if they hate me, they’re invested‍ in the story, and that’s what matters.

**Host:** Well, you’re certainly ⁢succeeding in that‌ department! Chelsea, thanks so much⁤ for your time and insights. We can’t wait to see what you do next!
