Cathay Pacific Expands European Network with New Routes and Increased Flights
Cathay Pacific is gearing up for a significant expansion of its European network in 2025, adding new destinations and increasing service to existing ones. The airline will launch flights between Munich and Hong Kong starting June 16, marking its first foray into the Bavarian capital. Just a few weeks later, on August 3, Cathay Pacific will resume its service between Brussels and Hong Kong, reviving a route that was paused in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Serving Europe with Style and Comfort
Both the Munich and Brussels routes will be operated by Cathay Pacific’s modern Airbus A350-900 aircraft, ensuring passengers enjoy a comfortable and contemporary travel experience. These aircraft feature a three-class configuration: business, premium economy, and economy, catering to a variety of travel preferences.
“We are very excited to be adding Munich to our network for the very first time, as well as returning to Brussels next year, making these our 10th and 11th destinations in Europe, respectively,” said Lavinia Lau, Cathay’s chief customer and commercial officer.
“Cathay Pacific has been flying non-stop to Europe for over four decades and we remain very committed to this important market. In addition to launching these two routes, we are delighted to be adding more flights on our other European routes next summer.”
A Stronger Presence Across Europe
With these additions, Cathay Pacific will operate a total of 93 return flights per week to Europe during the summer of 2025, a notable increase from its current 78 flights per week. This expanded capacity highlights the airline’s commitment to connecting passengers seamlessly between Asia and Europe.
The airline’s summer 2025 schedule will feature five daily flights from London Heathrow, solidifying London as a major hub within its European network. Cathay Pacific will also offer daily services to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Manchester, Milan, Paris, and Zurich, providing travelers with convenient options for exploring these vibrant European cities. Flights to both Madrid and Barcelona will operate four times a week, with the latter serving as a seasonal summer route.
