Britain’s Got Talent viewers have shared their shock following two auditions which aired during Saturday night’s episode.
The popular ITV programme returned to screens for the latest series but it has been claimed by some that it has completely forgotten it is a family show, with some calling it inappropriate and ‘shameful’ to young viewers.
They were left particularly unimpressed by a ‘naked comedian’ and a performer who put a corkscrew and meat hook through his nose and out of his mouth.
Horrified they took to X to air their thoughts – asking how these were allowed to be aired with children were watching.
‘I thought #BritainsGotTalent was a family show? Up to now we’ve seen a Japanese man try to hide his c**k and a weirdo shove giant corkscrews through his brain’

They were left particularly unimpressed by a ‘naked comedian’ and a performer who put a corkscrew and meat hook through their nose and out of their mouth
‘naked man seen parading around in public with only a tin tray covering himself” would be a wholly inappropriate headline to read so why is it acceptable when it’s on Brtains Got Talent? #BGT #BritainsGotTalent’
‘Thank goodness my kids weren’t in the room. They really should stop naked people coming out to perform, it’s NOT okay! #britainsgottalent’
‘Sorry but this is unacceptable for a family show and for the Royals? Imagine any other scenario with aan parading around naked for a children’s show #BritainsGotTalent’
‘I thought BGT was a family show? They’ve got some guy, pretty much with his d**k out on stage…#BGT #BritainsGotTalent’
‘That was grotesque and has no place on a family show #BritainsGotTalent’
‘That is an absolute NO for me. I personally believe the fact you came onto a show like this and stuck hooks through your nose is morally repugnant and totally out of keeping with a family show and a potential Royal Variety act. NO. #BritainsGotTalent #BGT’
First to send shockwaves through the audience was Japanese performer Akira who stood at the front of the stage – using just a tray to protect his modesty.
Judges Simon Cowell, 63, Amanda Holden, 53, Alesha Dixon, 46, and Bruno Tonioli, 69, watched open mouthed as the daring act, which Akira has been perfecting for over a decade, saw him pull off a series of tricks while keeping himself covered.

In an attempt to impress the A-list judges, performer Auzzy Blood put a corkscrew and meat hook through his head and nose, and out of his mouth

The scene was so dangerous that a warning was put out so viewers do not try the stunt at home – with Dec reiterating the point during the segment

The horror-stricken act was dressed head to toe gothic attire and had painted his face in a skeleton like face paint
As the tricks became riskier, including a somersault completely starkers, Bruno could be heard muttering: ‘This is completely nuts’ whilst Ant McPartlin shouted: ‘He was so close!’
Despite some viewers feeling less than impressed the judges branded the naked comedian ‘hilarious’, ‘cheeky’ and ‘full of balls’.
Next up to raise eyebrows and in an attempt to impress the A-list judges, a performer named Auzzy Blood put a corkscrew and meat hook through his head and nose, and out of his mouth.

Throughout the entire gruesome segment, the audience screamed in terror and all four judges turned their faces and chairs away.
Simon said of the act: ‘It’s spooky horror where you don’t want to watch it, but you do want to watch it. That’s obviously why we’re going to show it. We probably will get some complaints. Hopefully!’
What strategies does Amanda Holden suggest for balancing controversial acts with the family-friendly image of britain’s Got Talent?
Interview with Amanda Holden, Judge on Britain’s Got Talent
Hello, today we have a very special guest with us. She’s a judge on the popular ITV show Britain’s Got Talent, the lovely Amanda Holden. Welcome, Amanda!
Amanda Holden: Hi ther, thank you for having me.
Archyde: Let’s dive right in. This season of Britain’s Got Talent has seen some auditions that have sparked quite a debate among viewers, especially regarding family-friendly content. What are your thoughts on that?
Amanda holden: Well, Britain’s Got Talent has always been a show that celebrates diversity and pushes boundaries. We see a wide range of acts, from singers and dancers to unusual talents like those you mentioned. It’s true that some acts might be more controversial than others, but that’s part of what makes our show exciting and different.
Archyde: speaking of pushing boundaries, one act that drew a lot of attention was the Japanese performer, Akira, who used only a tray to cover himself. Some viewers found this inappropriate for a family show. What was your perspective on that?
Amanda Holden: I understand where the viewers are coming from, and I respect their opinions. However, I think it’s important to consider the context of the performance. Akira has been perfecting this act for over a decade, and it’s all about entertainment and pushing the art of magic to its limits. He was tasteful and careful to maintain his modesty throughout the performance. Once the act was finished, his modesty was immediately restored. It’s a fine line to walk, but I think Akira managed it respectfully.
Archyde: Another controversial act involved a performer who put a corkscrew and meat hook thru their nose and out of their mouth. How do you balance the shock factor with the family-friendly aspect of the show?
Amanda Holden: It’s a tough balance, and it’s something we consider very carefully. We want to ensure that the show stays within acceptable limits for our audience, but at the same time,we don’t want to stifle creativity and diversity. In the case of this act, I thought it was more about the performer’s control and skill than it was about shock value. Though, I can understand why it might have been upsetting to some viewers, and we take that feedback seriously.
Archyde: How do you think Britain’s Got Talent should evolve to maintain its family-friendly image while still showcasing unique and sometimes controversial talents?
Amanda Holden: I think we need to continue to have open and honest conversations with our audience about what they find appropriate and what they don’t. We can also provide warnings before controversial acts go on stage, so parents can make an informed decision about whether to watch with their children. Ultimately, our goal is to celebrate talent in all its forms while being respectful and responsible.
archyde: Thank you for your time and insights,Amanda. We appreciate you joining us today.
Amanda Holden: My pleasure, thank you for having me.
