Tyshawn Jones Joins Upcoming “Tony Hawk” Remaster

Professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones will be featured in a new “Tony Hawk” video game remaster,he revealed during a recent interview on Power 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club.

“I’m in a ‘Tony Hawk’ coming out, so that’s cool—they got a new one they’re remastering, so that’s about to come out. I was [also] in the last one,” Jones stated.

A legacy of Skateboarding games

This marks Jones’ second appearance in a “Tony Hawk” game. He was previously included in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 which was released to critical acclaim in 2020. The remaster brought back the beloved gameplay and iconic levels of the original titles, capturing the hearts of long-time fans and introducing a new generation to the thrilling world of skateboarding video games.

Originally released on PlayStation 4,Xbox One,and PC via Epic Games Store in September 2020,Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 quickly gained popularity.It expanded to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles in March 2021, followed by a nintendo switch release in June 2021 and Steam in October 2023.

While a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 remaster was initially planned following the success of the first installment, plans were unfortunately scrapped. This was due to the acquisition of developer Vicarious Visions by Blizzard Entertainment in 2022. Tony Hawk himself expressed his disappointment, stating, “I wish there was someway to bring it back. I mean, who knows? Maybe when all the dust settles, we’ll figure it out.”
