KnowBe4, a world-renowned cybersecurity platform that comprehensively addresses human risk management, today announced an innovative new suite of AI-native security agents designed to automate and improve human risk management – AIDA.
AIDA is a suite of agents that enhances the approach to human risk management by leveraging multiple AI technologies to create personalized, adaptive, and highly effective training for all end users that truly changes behavior. Supporting the entire set of agents is SmartRisk AgentTM. SmartRisk Agent leverages end-user behavioral data from all KnowBe4 products to help measure cyber risk in people. This agent’s multidimensional risk scores are designed to make it easier for security professionals to spot potential issues at the user, group, and organization levels.
According to one LastPass survey 2024more than 95% of cybersecurity professionals believe that AI-generated content makes phishing detection more challenging. This technological advancement in the hands of bad actors has created a new generation of highly convincing social engineering attacks that universal security awareness training cannot combat.
“AIDA is not merely the next step in KnowBe4’s human risk management, but a quantum leap forward,” said Stu Sjouwerman, Chief Executive Officer of KnowBe4. “It offers a suite of native AI agents that transform the way security professionals approach human risk management. AIDA empowers organizations to stay on the cutting edge of AI-based cybersecurity attacks by measuring human risk scores to better understand and mitigate threats within the risk landscape.”
The first four agents who were released include:
- Automated Training Agent: Uses AI with 316 indicators influencing 37 factors across 7 knowledge areas to analyze end users’ learning history, role, risk score, behavior patterns, and even languages so that AIDA can automatically assign the most relevant and engaging content.
- Model Generation Agent: By leveraging generative AI, AIDA creates highly realistic phishing models that can mirror current attack vectors. Social engineering indicators, or red flags, are based on NIST Phish Scale Framework.
- Knowledge update agent: AIDA delivers knowledge updates at optimal intervals, ensuring end users actually apply crucial security concepts.
- Policy Test Agent: AIDA generates intelligent questions based on an organization’s specific security and compliance policies.
AIDA is available as an add-on for KnowBe4 customers with a Diamond-level KnowBe4 subscription. For more information about AIDA, visit https://www.knowbe4.com/products/AIDA.

How does AIDA use AI to personalize cybersecurity training for employees?
## AIDA: KnowBe4’s AI-Powered Human Risk Management
**Host:** Welcome back to the show, folks. Today we’re diving into the exciting world of cybersecurity with Stu Sjouwerman, CEO of KnowBe4, a leading platform transforming cybersecurity through human risk management. Stu, thanks for joining us.
**Stu Sjouwerman:** Thanks for having me.
**Host:** KnowBe4 just announced a powerful new suite of AI-powered security agents called AIDA. Can you tell us what AIDA is all about and how it’s changing the game?
**Stu:** Absolutely. AIDA represents a paradigm shift in cybersecurity. It’s not just another security tool; it’s a suite of AI agents designed to address the ever-evolving threat landscape by focusing on the human element.
**Host:** You mentioned human risk. Can you elaborate on that?
**Stu:** While technology is crucial, humans are often the weakest link in cybersecurity. AIDA leverages AI to understand individual learning styles, roles, and behaviors to deliver personalized and adaptive security training. It’s about empowering employees to make smarter security decisions.
**Host:** That sounds incredibly impactful. Can you give us some examples of how AIDA’s agents work in practice?
**Stu:** Certainly. One key agent is our Automated Training Agent. It analyzes each user’s data, including their learning history and behavior, and uses AI to assign the most relevant and engaging content, effectively creating a personalized learning experience.
Another crucial agent is our Model Generation Agent. This agent uses generative AI to create highly realistic phishing simulations based on real-world attack vectors, making training more effective and preparing users for the latest threats, something that traditional training often fails to do.
**Host:** This is fascinating. Seems like AIDA would be a game-changer for organizations struggling to keep pace with constantly evolving cyber threats. Are there any real-world challenges AIDA directly addresses?
**Stu:** Absolutely. A recent LastPass survey revealed that over 95% of cybersecurity professionals believe AI-generated content makes phishing detection more challenging [1]. AIDA directly addresses this issue by generating realistic phishing simulations, helping users learn to identify and avoid these sophisticated attacks.
**Host:** That’s a powerful application. It seems like AIDA goes beyond traditional security training and offers a comprehensive approach to managing human risk.
**Stu:** Precisely. AIDA not only trains users but also continuously assesses their risk levels through our SmartRisk Agent. This allows security teams to identify potential vulnerabilities and proactively address risks before they lead to incidents.
**Host:** Stu, thank you so much for sharing these insights into AIDA. It’s clear that AI is playing a transformative role in cybersecurity, and KnowBe4 is at the forefront of this revolution.
**Stu:** Thank you! We believe AIDA is a crucial step towards creating a more secure digital future.
