A new documentary series “Garainis” has reached the viewers of LTV, which was created as a relative of “Literatūrei,” preserving the core and basic idea of the creative team, but breaking the boundaries of literature and looking for companions in the entire wide cultural field.

How was your day?
This is my sixth meeting today. Several [vietnē] “Zoom,” quite different profiles, three different countries. I am currently writing music for a play at Dailes Theater with the Dutch director Ola Mafālani, we are also working with him on a play at the Dutch National Theatre. I lead the Latvian Composers’ Union, and through it I also represent Latvia in the “Baltic Contemporary Music Network” organization – I had a meeting with it. In the morning I met with one student, now there is this interview, after that I participate in a discussion about the importance of family in art at the Gertrude Street Theater. The days are very different, for example tomorrow I will be at the Academy of Music, where I teach several subjects, but at least it is one location. And then it’s mostly composing – from morning to evening.
