Egypt’s Health and Population Ministry declared on Saturday that 569 individuals, fully recovered from the coronavirus after receiving comprehensive medical attention and adhering to World Health Organization protocols, were released from medical facilities. This brings the cumulative number of recovered patients to 321,132.
The ministry’s official representative, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, reported 783 newly identified cases, confirmed positive for the virus and its variations. These confirmations resulted from the ministry’s ongoing monitoring, investigative, and testing efforts, aligned with World Health Organization guidelines. Sadly, 16 additional fatalities were also recorded.
Abdel Ghaffar emphasized that, in accordance with the World Health Organization’s May 27, 2020 recommendations, symptom cessation for ten days post-infection signals full recovery from the coronavirus.
By Saturday, Egypt’s total registered coronavirus cases reached 386,358, comprising 321,132 recoveries and 21,768 deaths.
The Health and Population Ministry continues bolstering its preparedness across all Egyptian governorates, actively monitoring the coronavirus situation, and proactively implementing preventative measures against all viruses and contagious illnesses.
